Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin arrived in Kostanay region on a working visit today. At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held with Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov, within the framework of which a Roadmap was signed to provide mobile Internet and fiber-optic communication line (fiber-optic communication line) to the settlements of Kostanay region.

According to the Minister of Digitalization, today the region ranks 1st in terms of innovative products, which amounts to 529 billion tenge or 28% of the total volume of the country. Bagdat Musin noted that the development of innovative products in Kostanay region contributes to improving economic potential, attracting investment, creating jobs, increasing competitiveness and stimulating technological progress in the region.

"On June 29, 2023, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed between Astana Hub, Akimat of Kostanay region and Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, which laid the foundation for accelerating the development of information technologies. At the same time, 2 new PSC have been opened this year in the cities of Kostanay and Arkalyk," the minister noted.

In turn, Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov said that a large focus of attention is focused on issues of digitalization and innovation to increase the investment attractiveness of the region. According to him, over the past 5 years, about 300 digital projects worth 48 billion tenge have been implemented in this direction, of which 37 billion tenge are private investments.

"For example, the SSGPO JSC launched the project "Implementation of the automated Smart Quarry system at the Kurzhunkul and Sokolovsko-Sarbayskoye fields", the amount of investments is more than 1 billion. Tenge," the governor of Kostanay region said.

As a result of the meeting, a Roadmap for providing mobile Internet and fiber-optic communication line (fiber-optic communication line) to the settlements of Kostanay region was signed. The Minister said that the ministry plans to provide Internet to 43 villages of Kostanay region via KazSat satellite, install 87 5G base stations by the end of 2025, connect 180 rural schools to the Internet using Starlink technologies and connect 325 villages to fiber-optic communications.

Bagdat Musin also noted that within the framework of the Roadmap, it is planned to improve the quality of mobile Internet in 226 villages, including in 161 rural settlements, the construction of antenna mast structures at the expense of local executive bodies.
